GIRLS ONLY READING GROUP
It is true, and research consistently supports the fact, that boys and girls learn differently. Girls…this class is for you! Join our reading specialist for a class geared towards a girl’s way of thinking by exploring literature and writing to appeal to your brain. We will create and build stories by using relationships and characterization in stories and draw comparisons between fiction and real life, discussing parallels with your own experiences. We will explore the world of reading and writing so you can be sure to keep your school year on the right track! For girls in grades 1-3. MONDAYS FROM MARCH 12TH-APRIL 16TH FROM 4-5PM $75. BOYS ONLY READING GROUP
Boys….this one is for you! Our reading specialist will cater to a boys’ learning style by examining both fiction and non-fiction literature. The books will provide some action-packed adventure with heroes and will lend themselves to writing samples where the boys can express themselves in an environment that allows a full, creative thought process. Yes, it is true boys are often happiest with factual material. We will take time to explore non-fiction topics that appeal to your son. For boys in grades 1-3. HEAD, SHOULDERS, KNEES, & TOES
Get your body moving with active songs, processed art, silly games, and creative play all designed to strengthen the core muscles and motor planning skills used for fine motor skills. Children will learn correct letter and number formation, pencil grip and scissor skills as we use our Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes! We will explore fun HANDS on techniques to help your child grasp his pencil correctly and control fine motor muscles effectively through a variety of multisensory activities. Run, Run, Run as fast as you can to Little Scholars on Fridays this Spring for our Playdates! Don’t miss out on arts, crafts, songs, story time and a whole lot of learning time for your Little Scholar! This is an excellent opportunity for parents to learn how to build your child’s skills in all areas of development. This is a drop-off class and is for children ages 2 ½ to 4.
