
Enrichment Programs
Little Scholars offers a variety of proprietary before, during and after school enrichment programs to enhance learning and build on a child’s skill set using developmentally appropriate strategies and expectations. Our programs all have a strong educational basis, but don’t let that fool you. These classes are fun, interactive, and engage your child’s imagination! All of our programs are listed below, organized by grade (PK-6).
Bookworm for Preschoolers
Wiggle, fly, hop and scoot into a lifetime love of reading. Establish a solid foundation of reading readiness with bundles of activities to expose your beginning reader to letter-sounds relationships, comprehension strategies, and introduction to high frequency words through a host of activities to get you moving in the right direction.

Creative Builders
Calling all inventors, creators, builders and designers, come build some awesome creations with us! We will create our own designs and make structures using Legos, recyclable materials and many other interesting items. Skills necessary none! Skills gained: communication, problem solving, reasoning, developing creativity, and team work.

Join us on a journey to be introduced to the basics of the second most spoken language in the world through an innovative, dual language, thematic approach with games, stories, songs, and art. Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes
Get your body moving with active songs, processed art, learning games, and creative play all designed to strengthen the core muscles and motor planning skills used for fine motor skills. Children will learn correct letter and number formation, pencil grip and scissor skills as we use our Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes! We will explore fun HANDS on techniques to help your child grip the pencil correctly and control fine motor muscles effectively through a variety of multisensory activities.

Number Crunchers
Number Crunchers is for all little budding mathematicians! We immerse the children in rich and multi-sensory activities using manipulative and hands on activities to build your child’s math skill set. Through our activities we will learn about basic addition and subtraction, graphing, telling time, fractions, word problems and money.

Princesses and Superheroes
Do you have what it takes to save the world? Do you have the sparkle to rein the world? Come and train to be the superhero or princess you were meant to be! Save the world from evil-doers everywhere in this interactive and high energy class. The training combines co-operative games, team building activities, literature, educational enrichment activities and craft projects to ensure your powers will be supreme.

Ready, Set, Go to Kindergarten!
Pack your backpack because we are heading to Kindergarten! Get a jump start on the Kindergarten year. We will cover the skills necessary for a solid educational foundation and a smooth transition to Kindergarten. Letter recognition, reading readiness, comprehension skills, math readiness, and motor skill are the cornerstones of class. Whiz Kids
Grab your goggles and lab coat; we are on a scientific discovery mission! Explore the world of science through everyday objects such as toys, food and nature. Wiggle Worms

We’ll put our critical thinking to the test and get to the bottom of each of these mysteries by learning the tricks real investigators use such as DNA, blood sampling and fingerprinting. While experimenting with simple detection techniques your reasoning skills will grow and problem solving skills will become better than CSI agents.

Don’t let the title fool you…this class is fun! Find out what crab races, monkey bars, and handwriting have in common? We explore the world of handwriting through a fun and interactive activities involving sensory experiences, perceptual-visual motor skills, scissor cutting, and gross motor skills. This class is designed for elementary aged students who use print and/or cursive.

Don’t worry, we are here to help! Let our teachers help your child with their homework. Skills that will be incorporated include: learning extension, study skills, test taking techniques, and building confidence toward school and learning. Your child will have the opportunity to practice and reinforce skills taught in the classroom and Little Scholars will provide parents with weekly feedback. This program is for all grades.

WANTED…Detectives and Investigators! Get out your magnifying glasses and detective hats as we have clues to decipher and crimes to solve. We’ll put our critical thinking to the test and get to the bottom of each of these mysteries by learning the tricks real investigators use such as DNA, blood sampling and fingerprinting. While experimenting with simple detection techniques your reasoning skills will grow and problem solving skills will become better than CSI agents.

Ladies and Gentlemen, get it hot off the press! The first edition of the school newspaper needs your help. Students will enjoy this creative and exciting class as they create authentic newspaper stories. As they are transformed into reporters and editors, the outcome will be to publish their own school newspaper.
